this past weekend was my first mother's day, and it was lovely. it was a very busy weekend, but it wouldn't be normal if it wasn't hectic :) i'm so thankful mason made me a momma...words can not express how much i love motherhood, this journey has been incredible, hard, stressful, and lovely :)

there really isn't a day that goes by that i could just eat him. he is just so scrumptious!

so i'm embracing taking a few more pictures of my little man and i before i leave for 5 days while i visit my sister at martha's vineyard :) although i'm super-deee-duper excited to travel and see a new place, i'm terrified and sad to leave my little man behind! (frown face) will he remember when i get back? will he miss me? will husband snuggle, kiss, send me pictures of him? am i over-reacting? yea probably.

this little boy is quite freakin' adorable. i die. eeeeee!!!
ps i got some bangs.....and they beeeee doin' some funky splitting down the middle in these photos :)

this weeks embrace the camera is from one of my husband and i's favorite spots to go to in the spring.
not to mention he asked me to marry him here! :)
a place where you can go to set your mind and spirit free.
a place where you see pick-up trucks parked side by side.
down by the river to roast mallos and weiners.
a place where our kids will look forward going to.

this was mason's first trip to the cabin down by the river.
mason and his dad are going to make many memories here together
cheer's to husband's first memory of him and his first son by the river :)

hey-o!

it's thursday and time to embrace!
this week is a mix of mommy and daddy embracing.
these are very recent pictures of our little family.
since it is finally starting to feel a little more like spring around here,
husband is out walking the pasture trying to find deer shed antlers.
he found some and mason is since mesmerized by them :)

he wants so badly to put it in his mouth {since everything goes straight to/in the mouth
now-a-days}

usually if we follow our routine :) mason gets some play time before
going to bed. tonight was play time with daddy.

here in nebraska lately it has felt very spring like...
...until today...snow again....blah.

a couple weekends ago, we enjoyed some time in the outdoors after church
mason loooves being outside.
the minute we step outside, he is squirmy, giggly, smiley, excited little baby boy.
it's like he feels so free when he is outside :)

he must be in deep thought....sucking on that bottom lippie :)

can't wait for summer to let little mase roam outdoors while i garden :)
ahhh, it's the little things in life, ey?

this weeks embrace the camera is taken while i'm rockin my little before nigh nigh
"ahhhhhh", i can hear ya now :)

i {love} these moments of cuddle time....they are starting to be few and far between :(
as mase is getting older, the cuddle time becomes fewer....
...he is a mover and becoming {much} more independent.


this week has been absolutely crazy!!
i think i need to simplify my life.
monday i saw mason for 1 hour. seriously?!? yes. and i.hate.that.
tuesday i didn't see him AT ALL :( he was still sleeping when i left for school, then we had parent/teacher conferences until 8pm {and i have a 30+ drive home} so he was sleeping when i got home too.
wednesday i finally got to play, love, cuddle, smooch, giggle, hug, change diapers, and clean a ucky dirty cd {i know you wanted to know that} from 4:30 until bed time. i was a baby hog that afternoon!!!
today, i have parent/teacher conferences AGAIN until 8pm so it is unlikely to see him tonight :( this makes me want to be a sahm even more!!! {still praying for God's Will!!!} :)
soooo i.can't.wait.for.friday.to.be.over.!!!!!!!!!

i really need to use my moby wrap more often. mason loved it!!
i never want to put mason down once i get home but i need my hands free when i'm making supper....this is the perfect solution!
i can be hands free and have mase on my hip at all times :)

and when mase isn't on my hip, he's on my boob (jk jk jk)
we play and explore our world :)

today's pictures are from this week when we had a snow day!

i'm not so sure who enjoys them more....students OR teachers???!?!?

i know i was one HAPPY teacher sunday night when i got a phone call letting me know we were going to have a snow day on monday!!! yippeeeeeeeee!!! i was doin some major fist pumping in the living room!

this weeks embrace the camera is from christmas a few days ago....

over christmas break we didn't get any snow so i'm bummed i don't have fun sledding pictures to show. not much to do outside when it is just down right cold!! but tonight it is supposed to snow sooooo HOPEFULLY next week i'll have some sledding snappies :)

this is what i do every day when i get home from work...........i love, i play, i cuddle, i smooch, i feed him(because i miss having that alone time), but most of all, i love up on my little lovie :)

i'm not sure how he already is 4 months old...but...he getting more and more fun each day. i am falling in love with every new stage he enters. i have learned too NOT to wish for the next stage of the babe's life. because that next stage comes too fast and you miss the previous stage so much. anyways, cheers to embrace the camera :)

my first embrace the camera......

so i stumbled across the anderson crew blog and fell in love with her idea of embrace the camera......the whole purpose of this idea is to get yourself in FRONT of the camera instead of BEHIND the camera all the time. to include yourself in photos, for the kiddies sake.....for when someday we leave this world. here's to hoping i can keep up with embrace the camera :)

this isn't the newest snappie but it wasn't too long ago :)
